8 people, 3 full working days and a lot of things to discuss. Every beginning is very exciting and this one was even more exciting than usually. it was not just the beginning of a new project. It started in 2105.

The road to this meeting was long and not easy. It all started in summer of 2015, when 4 of us were sitting under the sun in the south of Italy and were dreaming about the project on humor. And then, just 1.5 years later it happened:) Our project was approved and we could start our work together on making the  training world a more humorous place.

8 people, 3 full working days and a lot of things to discuss. Every beginning is very exciting and this one was even more exciting than usually – it was not just the beginning of a new project. It was a beginning of exploration of a dear topic (we’re still talking about humor, of course) to all of us, however the context is new and you could see that all of our eyes were burning of impatience to see where this project would take us.

We’ve decided that to be able to offer something practical to others, first we need to inform ourselves by searching what’s been done in humor research world and also to organize an online questionnaire in order to find out what do other people, involved in training and/or youth work world, think about the humor. And after the beautiful training in Spain and local actions in each partner country we dream of developing an e-book and toolbox available for other trainers and youth workers that would want to include more humor in their work.

Most of the time we used for the things that are not usually associated with humor – planning, splitting tasks, setting deadlines. But we managed to have our own fun as well. We tried to start every session with an inspiring and fun video and for team building we used one of Escape Rooms that Madrid offer.

One thing to remember from this meeting – organizing working meeting in an apartment can be a nice change from all the seminar and training rooms!
